Liz Loz

 

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, of Cuban exiled parents and educated in Puerto Rico. Where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree

from the InterAmerican University, San German, Puerto Rico.

 

In 1980 was introduced to oils and pastel by College professor who studied under the master Olga Albizu, BA

who was herself a student of the famous abstract painter Hans Hoffman.

 

Liz Loz participated in several art workshops, but it is fair to say, it has been mostly freelancing and self-taught.

 

In the early 80’s made South Florida her permanent residence. Liz Loz dedicated to work as a Social Worker in the Human services of South Florida community. That has been fullfilling and rewarding in the spiritually sense. Her career and the daily challenges of assisting the needs of the various groups of needy populations needed an outlet.

Liz Loz found that Art was the vessel and outlet from her career as a Social Worker.

Channeling the ability to understand color, shape and light led her to work as a photo-stylist, designer, decorator and as a consultant to art galleries, road exhibitions and retail stores.

 

In 2000 following the consumer’s trend  developed a studio in Hallandale Beach, Florida;where vintage Levi’s denim jeans and jackets

where customize and her unique hand painted creations were exhibited and sold.

 

“My work is a constant practice and development of inspirational insight and eagerness to leave an expressive mark”.

 

Liz Loz’s background is the main ingredient for her unusual artistic flair , Afro-fusion was the platform for her vision of blending  primitive, Afro-Cuban art and contemporary art.

The result has been an explotion of out of the ordinary, sensual, mysterious, esoteric and energetic art pieces.

 

Liz Loz’s pieces are a tribute to the ancient Orishas(Yoruba gods and goddesses) some of her paintings and drawings

have found the enhancement of photography, digitalization and other modern techniques.

 

Her signature is the use of mixed media, an array of acrylics,  inks, oils, pastels, wax, charcoals, pencils and other materials.

Most of her pieces are monochromatic with multiple variations of one or two colors. Her favorite tones are the blues, purples and bronzes.

Curriculum Vitae

AES STAPLE Born January 3, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Long Island. Russian Jewish descendant

Right out of High School AES decided to pursue a career in the Arts.

Studied in Boston Massachusetts at the Franklin Institute where he received a degree in Applied Photo Sciences.

Recognizing that photography was his main passion, attended Germain School of Photography in New York City N.Y.

AES, worked professionally as a photographer and graphic art designer. Regularly worked in advertising.

For many years, AES enjoyed print media works, book designs, illustrations, catalogues and magazine layouts.

Designing creative promotional and marketing concepts for business operations, new business development, corporate image,

company logo, letterhead, brochures, calling cards, flyers and multimedia.

Some recognizable names like Phillip Morris, AT&T, Kraft Foods, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Nokia and Pepsi.

For nearly twenty years as an Instructor at Miami Dade County Public Schools : Basic Photography, Advanced Photography, Videotape Production, and Digital Photography.

 

Digital art, graphic design, number theory, geometry, the net, branding and market trends, technology, photography, web design, product design, film, nature, cities, music,

But something else was needed to complete his artistic attributes. AES, started freelance specialization with ink-jet printing better known as “giclee”, capturing AES’s interest.

Then it was painting one of the purest forms of art, utilizing a mix technique by blending all types of media.

Numerous Collectiona and  pieces have been displayed in small private auction, art and collectible shows, and sold to private collectors, colleagues and friends.

Sean Gabriel Martinez recently turned 10 years of age. Born in Miami Lakes, Florida

Exposure to the arts and music since very early age.

Sean is able to draw with a single strokes facial features and his greatest inspiration is always his mother.

Sean masters the air brush art and his use of primary colors making his pieces fun

His artistic renditions of the cultural elements of the Afro Cuban beliefs are mature and futuristic.

Sean's art creations have been exposed at the Youth Fair Fairgrounds Exhibitions three years on the road.

In 2007, 2008 and 2009 awarded first place in his competing category.

In 2009 awarded a prize for the artertistry by the Miami Dade County Public Schools Board.
